Discovery recognises the need for our families to have support for their children when they are working and so we have a range of support available to working parents to provide this. We know that care beyond the school day helps improve a child’s social and emotional skills and can help extend their learning by providing well supported extended learning opportunities before and after the school day. We pride ourselves on recruiting high quality staff who care for our children and are well trained to ensure they eat healthily and engage in meaningful provision.
Discovery employs a full time Extended Schools Manager who oversees this provision and works closely with our schools to ensure that there is the right level of support for parents’ dependent upon the school’s needs.

We have a central team of staff who work with our schools to ensure that we can provide:
Wrap around care for working parents from 7:30am – 6:00pm in schools that need this.
Breakfast clubs in schools which want to ensure their children are well fed before they start the school day.
Enrichment clubs after school to extend learning.
Paid for school holiday clubs (Discovery holiday camps) which are available to parents who want excellent quality holiday provision for their children.
Holiday clubs for disadvantaged families who cannot ordinarily access school holiday provision.
