Schools accepted to be Microsoft Incubator schools for the Microsoft Showcase School Programme

We are delighted to announce that five of the Trust’s schools – Kibworth, Mowmacre Hill, Danemill, Woolden Hill and Farndon Fields, have all been accepted to be Microsoft Incubator schools for the Microsoft Showcase school programme. 

This is a great achievement and marks the start of their journey to become Microsoft Showcase Schools and demonstrates their commitment to exploring new approaches to teaching and learning to ensure students are prepared for success in school and life. 

Microsoft Showcase Schools are led by educators who recognise the power of digital transformation to unleash students’ potential. Once these schools earn the Showcase School status, Microsoft offers opportunities for school leaders to share and exchange ideas around innovation and success with the field and highlight new practices and solutions online and through regional and global events. In addition, school leaders regularly enjoy connecting and learning from each other through the vibrant Showcase School community on Microsoft Teams. 

At Discovery Trust, we have always placed a big emphasis on EdTech and how it can positively impact teaching and learning, from reducing workload for teachers to helping to keep children actively engaged.  Being accepted on to the Microsoft Incubator Path will assist these schools, and the wider Trust, with their journey towards digital transformation. 

We are looking forward to engaging with Microsoft and like-minded school leaders, as part of this programme, to deepen and expand our digital education transformation.
