We pride ourselves on being an inclusive partnership of schools, that works closely with all schools. Many of our schools began their journey with us by asking to join Discovery, with a wish to have a deeper working partnership and maximise the benefits of being within Discovery. With our schools wishing to improve the outcomes for all pupils, they feel able to contribute to our trust missions and therefore uphold our values and promises to stakeholders. With this in mind we welcome schools to join or have a conversation regarding how Discovery could benefit their children and staff.
We are also a school sponsor which means we can open new schools and support those that may need intensive consultation to make rapid progress, to allow their school to provide the sort of education all pupils deserve. Schools who are in difficulty receive an intensive support package from both the primary leadership team but also fellow schools who share staff and expertise. However, we know everyone (regardless of their situation) has great practice to share and we therefore encourage all schools to collaborate to guarantee best practice across Discovery. Our school support system is a partnership approach, where we expect school leaders to identify the support they require, whilst being open to internal peer reviews to identify strengths and spotlight areas of need.
