Employer of the Year for Apprentices

We are delighted that Train Together has recognised Discovery Trust as one of their Employers of the Year, for going ‘above and beyond’ to support the learning and development of our employees, through apprenticeships.

The announcement was made during National Apprenticeship week, which brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses, and the wider economy.

During the week we celebrated the achievements of some of our own apprentices and shared their stories via social media and our website. 

Paul Stone, CEO at Discovery Trust says, “Apprentices have become increasingly important to the trust and add tremendous value.  They bring dynamism, new ideas and enthusiasm, and they really contribute to the structure and success of the trust”.

Train Together has been working with Discovery Trust since 2017.  Since this time, we have developed a great partnership and worked together on a number of strategic projects to improve the lives of the children and young people in our school communities.

“Apprenticeships are an excellent way to enhance skills and build capability within the trust. Over the years we have seen a number of apprentices further their careers, and it is always a pleasure to follow someone’s progression and watch them grow and develop”, added Paul Stone.
