Discovery’s Education leadership team is made up of highly experienced leaders who have worked in a range of school settings, including challenging city contexts and rural schools. They use their experience and expertise to provide coaching advice to our school leaders and provide extra capacity to support school improvement projects.
The team consists of excellent proven leaders, who are fully committed to improving learning opportunities for all pupils regardless of context or situation.
All of our leaders within Discovery have a positive mindset and have an unshakable drive to improve the life chances for all children. Discovery achieve success by including all leaders in decision making processes, including the initial formulation of a common language that is based on research. This includes the creation of a range of practical frameworks, which best describe what excellence looks like, linked to education research and best practice. This empowers our leaders to make a difference and allows each leader the scope to develop and deliver this in the most effective way, for their individual educational settings and context.
Discovery has a range of talent development programmes for all leaders, with many of our school leaders graduates of these “grow your own” talent development projects. These bespoke coaching plans include mentoring from highly successful leaders, school visit schedules and increased access to formal qualifications.
