Discovery Holiday Camp HAF Programme
This Summer, Discovery hosted holiday camps in ten of our schools and was our most successful to date, with all ten schools opening places to HAF families across the city and county.
The camps consisted of themed weeks throughout the Summer, Nerf games, JD Bugs, and Inflatables. The children in camp had a great time, trying out new experiences and we have received some fantastic feedback from the parents.
‘Thank you so much for the opportunity for my child to attend the holiday club for free. That is a huge help during the holidays for a single mum. I deeply appreciate Lee’s help with all the information provided about the booking and voucher.’ Parent from Farndon Fields Primary School.
‘My children really enjoyed this club, it was their first time to anything like this and although my daughter is up for trying anything new, my son struggles with trying new things and often won’t attend clubs more than once as he has attention issues and struggles to read emotions and make friends, I’m so surprised at how much he has looked forward each week to returning to this club and can only assume he feels happy and safe there, they both have really enjoyed this club. Also, communication with Lee has been good and easy, he is very helpful. I’d love the opportunity for my children to attend again in the future.’ Parent from Parkland Primary School
We would like to say a huge thank you to our Extended services manager, Lee Gill and Jo Venables for their hardwork and commitment in ensuring that all children had an amazing time this Summer, experiencing new activities, whilst developing their developmental skills this Summer. None of this would be possible without the camps Site and Activity leaders, who work hard to provide a wide range of activities and experiences for all our children, thank you so much for all you do. Our final thanks go to Active Together, for hosting the HAF programme, which makes all this possible.
